Meet The Team At Nordstrom Chiropractic LLC

Chiropractor Cameron Kmet D.C.
Chiropractor Anchorage AK Cameron KmetDr. Cameron goes the extra mile to get rid of your pain and teach you.

After graduating from the University of Western States in Portland Oregon in 2000, Dr. Cameron went on to provide top level chiropractic treatment in both Washington State and Alaska. He feels privileged to be part of a profession that simultaneously helps heal people and teaches them to take care of themselves.

Dr. Cameron has settled down in the Anchorage Area to create a chiropractic clinic catering to individuals who want lasting change. By teaching people to be conscious of how they treat their bodies, their health becomes a way of life rather than something that needs patching up. He takes time to talk with them about their options, helping them set health goals mindful of the fact that health is more than absence of disease.

Seeing beyond symptoms to address the underlying CAUSE of your issue

From the very first moment, patients feel at ease with Dr. Cameron’s welcoming presence. But what keeps them coming back is the attention he devotes to provide treatment individually tailored to their body.

How We’re Different

Our goal is unique. It’s to keep you out of the doctor’s office (including ours). Most healthcare practitioners think that’s a bad business model, but we know that if we keep you doing the things you love, you’ll tell your friends we’ve helped. We don’t need to see you 3 times per week for the rest of your life. There are too many people who really need care whom we want to help. It takes a little more time to teach patients how to be involved in their care, but the payoff is exponential.

Dr. Cameron brings a proactive approach to his practice here in Anchorage, Alaska. At Nordstrom Chiropractic, we first help to relieve pain through chiropractic adjustments and therapy. The next step is to teach patients how to maintain and improve their general health in order to prevent further pain and disorders. We do this by integrating chiropractic and any other treatments necessary to restore optimal health.

Chiropractic recognizes that the body has the incredible power to heal itself. Most people merely lack the knowledge and skills to take control of their own health needs. Our goal is to help our patient’s acquire that vital knowledge.

My Story: How I Became A Chiropractor

I was born and raised in rural Wisconsin. I lived on a farm and worked construction in my early years and so, I understand and appreciate the toll taken on a body in labor-intensive environments. I know what hard work and dedication are, as well as the injuries that are their direct (or indirect) result. As a high school and collegiate athlete, I experienced many physical injuries, including a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) at age 15. After the ACL reconstructive surgery, my chiropractor helped me rehabilitate my knee, as well as correct the whole-body dysfunctions that followed the surgery. Four years later, while I was working on an ecological study monitoring bats (yes, the nocturnal flying creatures) I experienced an episode of sciatica caused by lifting my canoe out of the water with improper posture. Having been treated by traditional medical interventions (pain killers, muscle relaxants, corticosteroid injections, etc.) in the past with limited relief, I decided to visit my Wisconsin chiropractor and found relief for the first time in over three months. Within two weeks, my sciatic issues were gone! This was the defining moment for me, the one that led me on the journey of a lifetime, pursuing my education and career as a Doctor of Chiropractic.

Chiropractor Rebecca Fidler D.C.

Chiropractor Anchorage AK Rebecca FidlerDr. Rebecca Fidler was born and raised in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. She loves exploring the outdoors, and obtains a passion for helping people feel and move their best so they can do the same. She achieved her Bachelors of Human Kinetics at the University of British Columbia- Okanagan Campus all the while enjoying the larger terrain of mountains to explore. Throughout her studies, she helped to create and execute an exercise program for the residents of a brain injury transitional center, as well as helped out at a cardiac rehabilitation center monitoring vitals, fitness testing and medical data-basing. Her interest in being a health-care provider with a sports emphasis lead her South to California's Palmer College of Chiropractic- San Jose Campus, and a member of their prestigious Sports Council.

While at Chiropractic College, she had the privilege of providing care at Monterey's Sea Otter Classic, NorCal Crossfit Regional Championships, NorthFace Endurance Challenge and Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon. She was also honored to be able to serve Veterans during her extended internship at the Northern California Veterans Hospital. This was important to her because of her husbands' involvement with the Army Reserves as a combat medic of which places her within the Military family. Family is very important to her, and she treats all her patients as such with regards to care. She is a mother of a beautiful toddler and has gained the firsthand experience of how chiropractic can help throughout pregnancy, along with the very early moments of life and beyond. The experience taken from all her diverse working environments has helped shape her into as passionate and well-rounded chiropractor. She looks forward to helping you gain a healthier and happier version of you.

"Doctor" is derived from Latin, meaning "to teach." Dr. Fidler found her passion in teaching during her snowboard instructing days at a local Canadian ski-hill as soon as she was licensed to drive as a teenager. She is now able to teach others how to be able to enjoy the things they love, with an overall better quality. The teaching will always continue during your care with Dr. Fidler. It is important to her that you have a core understanding of your body, how it works, and why Chiropractic care will help in your individualized case.
